EventsWe hold numerous events and seminars around the Unite Kingdom and Europe. We have held sessions on how to apply Mathematics, Science and English curriculums in both schools and at home. These seminars have always included educational experts and practitioners both local and from Singapore. As the adoption of these programmes becomes more widespread we will be holding more events, including teacher training seminars. If you are interested in knowing when we are holding events please email us your details to info@mathsnoproblem.co.uk.About the SeminarsSingapore is ranked first in the quality in education system by the Global Competitiveness Report 2007–2008, and is consistently among the top performing countries in the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS)¹ conducted by the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement. A study of Singapore Maths conducted by the American Institutes for Research for the US Department of Education in 2005 concluded, “what the United States needs overall are the sound features of the Singapore Mathematics system.” Singapore’s unique approach has gained widespread acceptance in schools and by home educators in 25 countries worldwide, including the US, Australia, the Middle East, Thailand, Indonesia, Korea and Chile. These programmes have also been approved and adopted for use by Education ministries from the states of California and Oregon, in the US, the Ministry of Education in Hong Kong and in Libya and are consistently used as reference by many education boards internationally What are the unique ingredients that go into making Singapore’s approach a success locally and overseas? How did Singapore students consistently score at the top of international maths and science league tables and also enjoy learning in the process?² How have other countries successfully used the programmes and seen marked improvements by their students? ¹TIMSS is a 49-country study of Grade 4 and Grade 8 students that is done every four years. Singapore has consistently been among the top rankings in 1995, 1999, 2003 and 2007. ² Singapore students recorded higher PATM scores (Positive Affect Towards Mathematics) compared to other top ranking countries in 2007 TIMSS study. About the Maths and Science ProgrammesAt the heart of the highly successful Singapore’s Maths and Science programmes are the Primary Mathematics and My Pals are Here series. About Maths-No ProblemMaths-No problem is committed to helping parents and schools by supplying world class educational material.
We are an official distributor of Marshall Cavendish Mathematics and Science and are based in the UK. Maths-No problem
was started by Dr. Anne Hermanson in 2008, after her daughter fell behind in maths when transferring schools.
In researching the subject, Dr. Hermanson found Singapore Math to be the most effective programme available.
As she spread the word to friends, it became evident to her that there are many families concerned about their
children's proper comprehension of maths. That's when she decided to make the books available to a wider audience.
Singapore's top placement in international tables has proven that this programme works in schools, but it can also
be used effectively for home-educating or as supplementary material for tutors or concerned parents. For more information, please visit
